It is with a heavy heart that I am announcing the “retirement” of Titanium from paheal.
Paheal is many things. It is a collection of porn, a disturbing armpit of the internet, it is a great community, a close-knit society of like minded individuals who are as weird and wonderful as the content they upload and it is a place where the rights of the artist are upheld in a friendly and timely manner. But paheal would be absolutely nothing without one man.
My relationship with Titanium started many years ago when the site was still in its infancy. A regular on the IRC he always seemed to have intuitive and intelligent suggestions on how to deal with site matters and he did more than his fair share of tag fixing and reporting. He was a natural fit for moderation. Over the next 4 years he became someone that I relied heavily on, someone the community relied heavily on. He shared my outlook on how to treat artists and he contributed way too much of his own time to make our community run as smoothly as it could. I felt I gained more than a moderator, I gained a valued friend too.
But all good things must come to an end and Titanium has informed me that he will be stepping down and moving away from the site as, due to personal reasons, he cant contribute any time to the site anymore.
I’m sure you will join me in wishing Titanium nothing but the best for whatever the future holds for him and thanking him from the unfathomable depths of my heart for all the tireless selfless work he has done to make paheal what it is.
For me he is paheal.

I don’t know if you will care about what I am about to write. Heck, I don’t know if you’ll ever read this, but it doesn’t matter, I’ll write anyway. I joined around the middle of 2009 after lurking in infamous anonymity for quite some time. I stumbled on the site after one night of porn searching, and have not since left, for despite being thousands of Rule34 sites in the net, only Paheal delivers the way it does. Anon and the Paheal userbase are harsh but also fair critics (many being a comedian in between), making the site the only place that you will fap and laugh often at the same time, and where an artist will receive unbiased, honest and hilarious opinions in order to improve his skill.
I have come to comprehend, however, that to keep such an odd behemoth running smoothly there must be someone as capable and dedicated as a ten thousand Anons. To keep bans, spam, site crashes, abuses or dreaded DNP requests every day in order. To keep a site free enough to be enjoyable yet civil as to not become “that fucking b/oard”. And let’s not forget who choose many of the worst featured images ever laid eyes upon. That was you; when the site most needed an enforcer, you were there, I suppose eager to answer the call. And the Titanium we all respect was born.
I don’t try to pretend I know you, for I consider myself a newfag and pretty much useless in the service of glorious Paheal, despite my anxious intentions of being otherwise. Yet somehow your leave moves me, maybe because I’m crazy or because the legend is finally going away, to make his life blossom. So I’ll take the opportunity to apologize if that picture I made (that you also featured lol) really did offend you, or if my antics ever bothered you. And to thank you for the many times youse saved mine and others bacon and keeping the site running smoothly for all these years.
I’ll be honest, however, I’m not sad, perhaps a bit melancholic, but not sad at all, for you are going away with glory and with the farewell of the many people you brought inspiration upon. I hope that wherever you go, whatever you do, goes always your way and for the best. I personally bid you goodbye with the warmth of my soul, thanking you for your service, our platonic friendship, and for being Titanium.

I’ve been an anon on this site for maybe 3 years now, and aside from the guro that pops up here and there (many faps aborted, I assure you) this site has been the best provider of anipron I’ve ever seen. My childhood hasn’t been completely ruined; in fact, some parts were made better.
And every time some colossal asshole dies, I can count on 34 to have some freakish, obscene piece of art to double over laughing to. In that regard, this site is like the Daily Show if the Daily Show only ever existed on the internet, was written by anyone who signed the guestbook, and lacked any restraint.
